*El hijo de la cómica*is a moving tribute by José Sacristán to Fernando Fernán-Gómez, with whom he shared a long friendship and professional bond. The play is based on the first volume of Fernán-Gómez’s memoirs, *El tiempo amarillo*, and focuses on the childhood, adolescence, and early youth of the actor, filmmaker, and writer, as well as the people who surrounded him during that time.
