That's how the Catalan groupEls Amics de les Arts was born.Thatsame year,Joan Enric Barceló,Ferran Piqué, andDani Alegretentered the Sona 9 music contest, where they won the award for best group by popular vote.
However, it wasn't until 2008 that this Catalanpop-folkband made their breakthrough with the release of their first studio album, entitledCastafiore Cabaret.Ayear later, they had already sold more than 30,000 copies thanks to the release of one of their most successful albums,Bed & Breakfast.
