Rigging, or equipment lifting, uses the grid system, which consists of a metallic structure composed of a series of horizontal and vertical beams, steel cables and special systems to allow the lifting and lowering of suspended elements such as loudspeakers, screens or any material required for the events.

Rigging installation is a process that requires trained and experienced personnel to carry it out safely and efficiently. For this, APIC has partnered with Espais i Acrobacia, a leading company in the entertainment sector, with a long history of fixed installations in other venues in the state.

Thanks to this new structure the San Miguel Tarraco Arena aims to be able to adapt to all kinds of cultural events with:

• Greater excellence, thanks to the modernization of the stage structure and the technical ceiling of the venue.
• Increased efficiency, thanks to the reduction of transportation required for the assembly and disassembly of the stages.
• Greater sensitivity to the environment by not having to assemble large structures such as scaffolding or support.

The project, led by the management company APIC and with the support of Next Generation funds and the monitoring by the Tarragona Provincial Council as owner of the San Miguel Tarraco Arena , will generate an added value that will be a before and after for the territory.
