The Art of Ticketing

For us, ticketing is an essential part of the backbone that supports our organization, as it's 100% focused on our end customer.  One of its definitions refers to managing issues, requests, questions, and inquiries through a control and tracking system.

It helps identify the most common issues and simplifies the after-sales service. It also lets you create a FAQ list or a database to offer quick solutions for common problems.

But ticketing isn't just about that; it also covers everything related to selling tickets online, and we're total pros at that...

Last year, we sold over 25,000 tickets, though that's not the full capacity we handled in 2019. We have to remember that each event uses more than one channel. So, that number would jump way up if we added in promoters and all the other platforms out there.

To put it simply, our team of pros is your best bet for coordinating exclusive ticket sales, and definitely the best support to make your event a success.

Let's talk about the most traditional and historical way:

Direct Sales for the show: The promoter sets up their own way to sell tickets directly to people.

These days...

They've given in to what people want and how they buy things, selling their tickets through all sorts of platforms, big and small. And that's how we found out about other options, like reselling tickets among individuals (which always sparks big debates about whether it's legal).

And finally, how did this trend pop up in Spain?

Who got it all started?

A) Banks
B) Anonymous entrepreneurs
C) The Tarraco Arena Plaza

Even though a lot of you probably thought it was option C, the right answer is: A) BANKS.

Let's give you an example of this with a name you'll definitely recognize:

Ticktackticket was a project started by BBVA, and it was a real pioneer and leader here in Spain. Later on, the huge company Ticketmaster (a global leader) took them over, and it turned out to be a win-win for both sides.

You've probably also heard of Atrápalo, Servicaixa… but let's talk about who's been king in our country since day one!

ENTRADAS.COM

Actually, the success of entradas.com definitely caught the eye of Spanish banks. Back then, financial groups like Bankia and Caja Navarra were even shareholders! This was all thanks to the company's great management and how they kept selling more and more tickets, plus snagging exclusive deals for huge music and sports events.
