Tarraco Arena and its Carbon Footprint

Tarraco Arena is joining the Amazon restoration and protection project! This is a direct result of calculating and reducing the carbon footprint from all the events held here.

What is a carbon footprint?

A carbon footprint is how much greenhouse gas gets released into the air because of an activity – in this case, putting on a show. To figure out an event's carbon footprint, we look at things like how artists travel, how much electricity is used, and how much waste is produced.

From the very beginning, Tarraco Arena has really focused on being a socially responsible company. That's why we've put various measures in place, like using renewable energy and managing waste responsibly at all our events.

Thanks to these actions, their carbon footprint has gone down, making it possible to enjoy concerts and events responsibly while helping to protect the environment.

They also want to go even further! Thanks to the NGO Saving The Amazonas and the company Creast , they've been able to offset the emissions generated by planting trees in the planet's lungs: the Amazon. Their 'Tarraco Arena' tree, a Molinillo species, is planted in the Puerto Paloma indigenous reserve, a key area for keeping our planet's climate balanced.

San Miguel Tarraco Arena helps protect one of the world's most important regions, while also supporting the economic and social development of the indigenous communities in Vaupés.

We invite you to check out our upcoming events and help out with this new initiative.
