So, rigging is basically how we lift and hang equipment. It uses a grid system – that's a metal frame with horizontal and vertical beams, steel cables, and special gear. This lets us easily raise and lower things like speakers, screens, or anything else we need for our events.

This new setup will let us give spectators super immersive 360º experiences. It means you'll be right in the middle of the show, not just watching from the front or sides like before.

Putting in the rigging system is a big job that needs skilled and experienced folks to do it safely and well. That's why APIC teamed up with Espais i Acrobacia, a top company in the entertainment world, known for their many permanent installations in other venues across the country.

With this awesome new setup, San Miguel Tarraco Arena wants to be able to host all kinds of cultural events, offering:

• More excellence, because we've updated the stage structure and the venue's technical ceiling.
• Better efficiency, since we'll need fewer trips to set up and take down stages.
• More eco-friendly because we won't need to build huge scaffolding or support structures anymore.

This project, headed up by APIC and backed by Next Generation funds (with the Tarragona Provincial Council, owners of San Miguel Tarraco Arena, keeping an eye on it), will bring so much extra value that it'll totally change things for our region. Plus, it'll help us bring in bigger events, like the famous Cirque du Soleil , making this World Heritage city a truly special place in Europe for awesome events.
